The Blonde in Black Lace (1972)

Entry number three in the Johnny Wadd series and as you can see my recap will be sourced from the original VCX VHS release. For some reason didn't care releasing this one on DVD.

Susan Westcott
This time Wadd isn't hired to resolve a crime but for a divorce case. Susan Fourneau need him to get physical proofs that her husband is cheating on her, something that she knows already. She doesn't have money to pay Wadd's fee but she asks him to wait after the divorce ruling. He accepts and, big surprise, he doesn't ask to have sex with her on the spot 😮

But we get a scene anyway since she tells him how she was coerce by her husband to have sex with his bodyguard right after their wedding... yeah the husband isn't really the nicest guy in town.

Charles Lish and Susan Westcott
Wadd being the guy with the best contact find easily someone to give him a lead. Indeed one his old conquest tell him about the orgies at Claude Fourneau, the husband, residence and that one is set for the evening of this day.

Chlorine Stillwater
That evening Wadd goes to the house with his camera to take some photographic evidences to complete the case. But he does a big oopsie, he drops the roll of film he has just taken on the ground when he leaves. So he must come back to find it and he is in for a big surprise...  Fourneau was killed!

Alain Patrick
So he doesn't really have a case anymore which is a good thing since the pictures he took would have been useless in a divorce trial considering that Fourneau wasn't part of the orgy... he only watched.

Of course case or not we get a fight
His client reward him anyway even if he didn't really help, her husband is dead so no divorce and she'll get everything. But they are interrupted when Wadd's secretary come back and resume what they started in the beginning.

Nora Wieternik
This one isn't as good as the previous one since a divorce case isn't as good as a crime investigation, but it is enjoyable. We get again a good cast of West Coast pioneers, but sadly Eve Orlon is wasted on a nothing role during the orgy (who is in fact a threesome and not something I would call an orgy personally). The music is also more invasive that it was in the first two entries.

Sadly no legit release for this film  and what is available currently looks like shit, it's not for nothing if I searched in my boxes for this old DVD-R in place of using my GVC DVD who was a waste of money.

Flesh of the Lotus (1971)

The original was a huge success and people asked for more films with Johnny Wadd, so Bob Chinn saw that he had a hot property in his hands and rapidly bring a sequel,

Sheila a friend of Johnny Wadd is brutally killed in her apartment and he receive a call from one of her neighbor to come fast. When he arrives the cop aren't there yet and he picks up his first hint: a flower.

Wadd and the victim ( Heather Starr) at a much better time
He starts his investigation by visiting Beverly Randolph a lesbian who could maybe give him a lead about the murder.

Unknown actress with John Holmes

She put him in contact with a friend of Sheila who might be able to help him, so he waits for her at Beverly's apartment. After a while she arrives and this is where he learns about an opium deal between Jim Alexander, the neighbor, and sheila.

Suzie, the friend, is played by the great Andy Bellamy (so if you take note it's her second time in the series
Wadd goes back at Sheila's apartment, he quickly realized that the cop never came and that the body is missing... but Jim Alexender is there rummaging through the bedroom. After a beating he confess the deal and Wadd finds a ring... a Chinese secret society golden ring who is the last hint he needed to do the connection to resolve the murder.

Alex Elliot
Direction Chinatown to find the killer, again we will get a fight and the murderer will pay for his crime. Sheila's corpse is found in the ocean some weeks later in the ocean and the case is ruled as a junkie suicide.

Bob Chinn
Like the original the sequel was made for almost nothing, but we get some great Chinatown footages, more diverse location, the cast this time doesn't have a weak link (Holmes doesn't act any better but he didn't become a star because of his thespian ability) and the original score. I think this one is an improvement over the original, but the Johnny Wadd series will get much better soon.

Since VCX was too lazy to do some research and gave us a pointless DVD art, I post a cool poster for a Johnny Wadd festival that was sent to me by my friend Charles.

Johnny Wadd (1971)

The film who made a star out of John Holmes for better or worst and the beginning of a cool series of adult detective movies. This original is quite simple and is a little bit on the cheap side... so time to start.

Johnny Wadd, a private detective, received a call from someone while he is at his office (who is the living room house), later the caller come to meet him for a case. Her girlfriend have disappeared for a while and she hired Wadd to find her for 1,000$ and an extra incentive.

Andy Bellamy
He takes the case, start working on it and get a tip from Mickey the mooch, but just when he is on his way out to meet him he is intercepted by a woman who wants to talk with him. So inside they go and this is Jeannie's sister. Bigger surprise, she doesn't want him to find her sister so she pay him 2,000$ with the same extra to not do his job.

Sandy Dempsey
But he continue his works and go meet Frankie the mooch at the marina...

Bob Chinn cast himself as Frankie
After a lot of investigation works, that we don't see, he come to the conclusion that Jeannie kidnapping was orchestrated by her own mother. He decides to call the mother to face the facts he discovered... who knows knows maybe he expected her to be hot like her daughter.

No she isn't... in fact Holmes doesn't even get his usual semi-hard this time
She gave him 5,000$ and a pitiful insensitive to not call the police about this. He says that he won't, goes for a ride and he got lucky since he encounters Jeannie while she is run after by a menacing man in black. He runs after him, kick his ass and save Jeannie.

We learn why her family wanted her kidnapped and killed after this via a flashback and Wadd get a well deserved sex time after his sad encounter with Mme Hamilton. The end...

Patti Lee
Without being as good as what will followed in the series this was enjoyable. If we forget the actress who played the mother (Chinn should have done the ride to San Francisco to hired Judy Angel for that role in place of that anonymous older woman) the casting is great and the story is fine for a detective, even if the budget limitations are obvious.

For my recap I've used the VCX remastered DVD from 2008 who is long out of print. It came with many good extras including an informative commentary with Bob Chinn... only downside is the score modification.

Every Man's Fantasy (1983)

Today a hard to find Fred Lincoln's production... it isn't for nothing if I have no cover for that one. Since it's a movie stuck in the VHS era I can't complain but my copy is far from being complete, six minutes or so are missing, so it starts fast and cut abruptly.

We start with Johnny (Alan Adrian) introducing himself to a woman in a very romantic manner saying "hey gorgeous wants to fuck?"

Looks like that didn't worked at all 😲
After this trip in the car's trunk he wakes up blindfolded and chained, since it's Alan Adrian we have a good idea of what will follow...

Jeanne Silver
If you thought a male domination movie you were right... so there isn't much to say since it's humiliation and "beating" time for Johnny.

Tiffany Clark
Jeanne Silver and Joanna Storm
Like I said my copy is incomplete and the end is strange, it looks like it starts all over again since we get the abduction of Johnny all over again.

Not the genre of movie I normally review, but with that cast it was hard to not do so. At least that was different from the average S&M production since it's an actress who is normally the dominated one and not the male. Also there aren't a single typical love scene in this, even the scene between Jeanne Silver and Joanna Storm is a domination one but more gentle.

Not that I didn't like it, on the contrary, but this is certainly not for the casual adult film watcher since there is some rough stuff on the screen.

I wouldn't say that this is "every man's fantasy" but yeah that sound like something quite arousing to try... at least once in your life.

Please... Mr. Postman (1981)

Today a lesser known film from the Lewis Brothers... who are of course fictional brothers. The film this time is directed by Ken Gibb (he was certainly the DP too) and produce by Elliot Lewis.

The film isn't complicated story wise since we follow two postal workers (Loni Sanders and Jesse Adams) doing their mail delivery road. This is use as a way to link everything together.

Jesse Adams and Loni Sanders
As I said the mail delivered is what is linking together what could have been a series of loops but they aren't, so we have a lot of non-related scenes for most of the film running time.

First Suzanne (Tigr) get a film delivered at her home, so she and her friend Elenore (Lynx Canon) decide to watch it together since it's a vacation home film.

Tigr and Lynx Canon
Surprise it isn't the innocent family film but a loop!!!

For some reasons Shaun Costello is credited as Richard Jackson
Next it's Ralph (Richard Pacheco) who gets a package, but this time the delivery is part of the story since Ralph is sure that Barbara and Nina Franks his favorite actress are one and the same. So Barbara will model and more for Ralph and in exchange he will continue her mail road for the day.

Richard Pacheco
After that interlude it's direction sorority house where two students (Sonya Summers and Misty Regan) got a mysterious package filled with vibrators, condoms and nude men magazines who was sent to them by a trio of a shy guys who will be rewarded in not too long.

Sonya Summers and Misty Regan
Mike Horner, Perry Mann and Blair Harris
Time for another delivery, this time for Betty and just in time to replace her husband who neglect her since he is stuck to his TVs (yes plurals... he is one of those guys who watch many shows at the same time). Obviously he will join her after a while...

Holly McCall
Paul Thomas
Finally we have the last delivery who is a swingers magazine that Stanley (Milton Ingley) will use to contact two women who put add in it.

Erica Boyer, Milton Ingley and Nicole Black
I have no idea why this film isn't more known since this is quite enjoyable and the chemistry between the actors is great (seriously Richard Pacheco and Loni Sanders work well together just like Tigr and Lynx Canon do).

Sure there are a couple of missed opportunities but most of the mail stories are funny to watch and original... sure worth a watch in my book.

Late Night for Lovers (1989)

Typical Scotty Fox's production, so you pretty much know what to expect.

This is a spoof of a late night TV show and since the host of the show name is David Betterman it isn't that hard to guess which one it is.

Robert Bullock
We get a broadcast of the late night show just when it went to a downgrade, so now it's shoot in a cheap set with no live house band anymore and worst for David, but better for us, a co-hostess.

Tamara Lee
Considering the video production formula there aren't much to discuss since it's a series of show guests "interviewed" and skits. So it's mostly captures time...

We begin with a letter of a watcher writing about her fantasy, so it's time for an encounter with her to realize, and secretly shoot, her phantasm.

Blake Palmer, Brandy Alexandre and Robert Bullock
Next, guest time for a sex show with a young pre-surgery Tori Welles and a guy who wasn't in the industry for long.

Durwood Small, Tori Welles and Tamara Lee
Next, it's time for Mamie von Porn who is there to talk about her last film... of course we get an excerpt from the film who is a scene between her, Peter North and, surprise, the new show co-hostess.

Victoria Paris
In the following segment it's time for Slick Rhoads who is there to sell cheap stuff to the audience...

Randy West
Finally, the show will conclude with a cooking presentation by the two host where we see that they don't really hate each others and it was just part of the show.

As I said it's a typical Scotty Fox's video, kind of cheap but with a good cast. Come on, how someone couldn't appreciate something with Tamara Lee, Tori Welles and Victoria Paris at their prime? Robert Bullock do a great job playing the host and he does a lot of funny one liners like that kind of late night show hosts usually do.

So nothing that essential like so many SOV titles but it's quite enjoyable if you're a fan of any of the actresses casted.

This one seems to be an Hot Movies exclusive on VOD.

Justine: a Matter of Innocence (1980)

This East Coast production directed by Roberta Findlay and written by Cecil Howard and Ed Bucks shouldn't be confused with the Marquis de Sade's story, sure the main characters share the same name but this is all they shared.

Of course Cecil Howard put himself in the film
After the death of her father Justine (Hillary Summers) inherits his total fortune, but she won't have the control of it until she became adult. So meanwhile her uncle (Ashley Moore) will take her at his house and take care of her.

Ashley Moore and Hillary Summers
Justine was sheltered all her life since she got all her education in private and boarding schools for girls, so she is quite innocent and does not mix with her cousin's friends activity... activities who will shock her when she will catch a glimpse of what they do behind close door. But on the other hand from this moment she will start to sexually fantasize about her uncle.

Rick Iverson and Robin Sane
Between her incestuous fantasies she collects the bad encounters. Whatever it is with the hiring help (but a guy who confess to like young girls have a good chance to be a creep) or her cousin or a date everything turn to be bad experiences.

Dave Ruby
Andy Hayes, the cousin who doesn't know that no means no
Rick Iverson
But everything ends well for Justine at the conclusion since she will realizes her fantasies with her uncle.

For years that film was unavailable unless you think awful bootlegs equal being available, but it was finally released this week on blue ray by Vinegar Syndrome (so this is a brand new release that I got just yesterday). As you can see from the captures the film looks great which isn't really a surprise and, as usual, they have included some extras (mainly a commentary with Roberta Findlay moderated by my friend Casey Scott).

Vanessa del Rio
Do I recommend the film? You bet I do since this is the best film with Skin Flicks released by the label in 2019. If you have never seen it, take a chance believe me you will not regret it.

Merle Michaels and Christie Ford
The best option is to buy the film directly from VS since if you go via the video on demand way all you will get is an awful ABA sourced from a tape.
