Family Holiday (2017)

This Christmas Dallas and Tate will meet for the first time each other family... so this one isn't too story driven.

Being a Jacky St. James' production you should know what's coming... there are a lot of incest in those families, but it's the modern movie type of family love so it's step-parents, step-brothers and step-sisters which is not really incest.

The first meeting at Christmas Eve is with Tate's family who lives with his parents and his sister.

As I said there aren't much story in this one but it was enjoyable. Kristen Scott is great as usual, but Mona Wales is too and she sure made me laugh often in her very possessive mother role. The second half with Dallas' family is better because the loving relations between the members sound more honest and genuine. I love the ending too and what Dallas choose to do, too bad it isn't always the case in real life.

On the other hand I always find that modern way to do incest themed film without being it a little bit annoying, come on it's make believe fantasy so what's wrong with going all the way as it was done 30 years ago.

I wouldn't say that it's an essential film, but if you love Kristen Scott as much as I do you must have this one in your library.

To be honest I don't think the video on demand asked price is realist, so go for a rent first and if you like the film enough go for the buying option. If you choose to buy go with Hot Movies who have the best price this time.
